After successfully rocking Hanoi last December, Steve Aoki made his Saigon debut last night to the delight of hundreds of bouncing concertgoers. Things started off a bit precariously with a last minute change of venue and start time, but luckily backup plans were made at the always-solid Cargo Bar/Q4 .

Unexploded bombs aren't the only thing the American military left behind in Vietnam after their failed interventions in SE Asia. According to The Aviationist , many American fighter-bombers such as the F-4 Phantom used external fuel tanks (pictured below) to extend their operating range. While this allowed for longer missions, these tanks were heavy and produced additional drag, not ideal for combat operations.

From the organizer: Still part of the Saigon Players’ 10th Season, we present English dramatist, Jim Cartwright’s award-winning, tour-de-force play, Two. The play is about a night in a pub owned by a bickering husband and wife. Throughout the play, we see the pub’s different customers’ quirks and issues as well as the fragile relationship between the landlord and the landlady. The play’s pacing will take the audience to a rollercoaster ride of human emotions and promises an engaging, heartwarming night.

With Saigon's population rapidly expanding, a new set of challanges, both social and environmental have arisen. The city's growing pains have been well-documented and many argue that serious measures must be taken to address them in an efficent and timely manner. As is the case with many infastructure and developement projects across Vietnam, foreign organizations are often the first to raise and address these issues. One such organization, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, just released a video that highlights the challenges facing a growing Saigon while offering up some solutions.
