[Video] Vietnamese Animator Creates Wistful Reel of Saigon Memories From Pencil Sketches

Sometimes our childhood memories exist as little pieces of wonder.

There are important events in our life, where no matter how long it has been, we can still recall the details like it just happened yesterday. For animator Triet Le, his past is a montage of snapshots, sounds and fleeting feelings that, at times, can’t be named.

Triet put all of those unnamed moments into a short film, titled ‘Little Wonders’, presented as a series of simple pencil sketches. The two-minute video has little dialogue, with a few here and there in song lyrics and the title. From playing video games to riding on a motorbike with his mom, the animator made full use of ambient sounds to evoke feelings in the audience.
