Last week, Saigon officials debuted a brand new set of buses for its 109 route, which travels from Pham Ngu Lao's 23-9 Park past Ben Thanh Market and onward to Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
This week, VnExpress took a ride on the bright yellow buses, which were imported from South Korea and feature no-slip flooring, large seats, security cameras and automatic doors with safety sensors as well as an English-speaking staff. With fares ranging from VND12,000 – VND20,000, Route 109 is a pretty impressive addition to Saigon's public transportation.
