What's the first restaurant on your list?
After five months of eating at home like mole people, Saigoneers can finally return to restaurants and cafes. As VnExpress reports, these businesses were allowed to resume on-site services this morning.
Restaurants and cafes must close by 9pm, and can only accommodate 50% of their normal customer capacity, and only those located in District 7 and Thu Duc City are allowed to serve alcohol. Wedding halls and tourist facilities can offer alcohol in all districts.
Those two parts of the city will pilot alcohol sales until November 15, after which decisions will be made on whether to expand this to other districts.
On October 24, city officials announced the COVID-19 risk level of Saigon, based on four levels. Nine districts fall under Level 1, the safest, while 12 are at Level 2 and one is Level 3.
F&B businesses are among those hardest-hit by the prolonged battle against the novel coronavirus, with the news source adding that revenue for the sector in the first eight months of this fell 20% compared to the same period in 2020.
Over 78% of adults in Saigon are now fully vaccinated while over 98% of eligible adults have received at least one shot.
