Japan’s First VR Porn Festival Finishes Early Due to Overcrowding

It’s a sticky situation for Japanese smut lovers as the country’s first virtual reality (VR) porn festival was prematurely canceled due to overcrowding, reports the Next Web.

The festival, named Adult VR Fest 01, was supposed to open last month in the Akihabara region of Tokyo, aiming to showcase some of the most gripping advancements in the field of VR pornography, including a whole range of horrifying looking VR adult entertainment equipment.

What the organizer didn’t expect was the sheer number of porn enthusiasts who came, hoping to get their hands on the titillating devices, such as a breast-groping box and “The Gripper” (link slightly NSFW).

“The event didn’t start until 2pm, so I went there in high spirits an hour before then, but the city was already overflowing with people. There were so many that it was almost impossible to keep the situation under control,” reports Japanese blogger Eizo000.

According to the Mirror, only 20 erotica aficionados managed to get in the venue before the authorities decided to shut down the event for fear of the crowd erupting into a riot if not allowed entry into the tiny festival space.

VR porn fans who didn’t have a chance to give these gadgets a ride may be excited to find out that the organizers have already got their hands full with Adult VR Fest 02, coming this August.
