Who operates this site

Saigoneer publishes stories about Saigon and Vietnam. To be confirmed: legal operating entity, registered address and privacy contact.

Information used by the beta

Accounts use an email address and profile information. Following, saved stories, reading activity and personal maps support reader features. Information you choose to make public may be visible to other readers. Do not add sensitive information to a public profile.

Location features ask for browser permission. A selected or last-used location may be retained for nearby recommendations. You can revoke browser location permission separately.

Storage and providers

Sign-in uses a session cookie. Display preferences, seen-story state and media choices use browser storage. The application uses Vercel for hosting and Neon for its database. Images and advertisements can be delivered by Urbanist Network services; maps and external media also contact their providers.

To be confirmed: full provider inventory, processing locations, international transfer arrangements, legal bases and retention periods.

Your choices

You can change external-player permissions in privacy settings, manage follows and saves in your account, and control location access through your browser.

To be confirmed: verified contact and process for access, correction, export, account deletion and complaints. No request form is shown until it has a monitored destination.

Before public release
